Finlaggan Eilean Mor Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Finlaggan Eilean Mor is a single malt Scotch whisky from an undisclosed Islay distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. That is a little higher than earlier Finlaggan releases, though it is not cask strength. The name comes from Finlaggan Castle, the seat of the feudal Lord of the Isles. The nose is toffee smoke, sea salt and seaweed, with malt and citrus. The palate is smoky, spicy and slightly oily, with peat, seaweed and pepper over salt and malt. The finish is long, smoky and spicy.
