Finlaggan Port Finish is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky from an undisclosed distillery, bottled by the Vintage Malt Whisky Company at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
This early 2016 release was finished in port casks, which bring a wine-like sweetness alongside smoky, coastal peat.
The nose is smoky and medicinal, with a touch of red berry. On the palate the port finish takes hold while the peat holds its ground, and the finish is long, with sweet smoke.
