Founder's Cask Kåre Sall 55.1% (50cl, 55.1%)

Founder's Cask Kåre is a single cask whisky from Sall Whisky Distillery in Denmark, bottled at 55.1% in a 50cl bottle. It is the first release in a new annual series in which each of the distillery's founders chooses one cask. This one was chosen by co-founder Kåre, who signs and numbers every bottle by hand. The bottles are sealed with wax, and 294 were filled. The whisky was filled on 3 July 2020 into an ex-mezcal cask and matured for five and a half years. It is the oldest whisky Sall has released. It is made from organic Evergreen spring barley, pale malt and unpeated. The nose offers pear, citrus and oak. The palate is soft and light, with vanilla, agave and ripe lime. The finish is dry and lightly mineral.
