This is a single barrel Texas Straight Bourbon from Garrison Brothers, bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. It comes from the distillery in Hye, Texas, and was introduced to mark the 2013 Texas law allowing distilleries to sell to visitors on site.
Each barrel in the Single Barrel programme is tasted and approved by the master distiller. Barrels are at least three years old and chosen for their flavour, so no two bottlings are the same. The bourbon is aged in new American white oak.
Expect butterscotch, oak, vanilla and nutmeg on the nose. The palate is rich with caramel, vanilla and hints of oak and spice.
