Cowboy Bourbon is an occasional release from Garrison Brothers, a Texas straight bourbon bottled at cask strength, 65.65% ABV, in a 75cl bottle.
It is drawn from the distillers' own favourite barrels, which are set aside for a couple of further years of maturation before bottling. The whisky is bottled uncut and unfiltered.
The nose is sweet pipe tobacco, full-grain leather and banana nut bread, with wildflower honey and plum soda. On the palate come raspberry chocolate pie with ganache, and the finish brings chocolate-covered cherries with a touch of armagnac.
