This is a single barrel wheated bourbon from Garrison Brothers, made in Hye in the Texas Hill Country. It is bottled at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The mashbill is 74% Texas-grown corn, 15% red winter wheat and 11% malted barley. It is aged for a minimum of three years in new, charred American white oak, and each bottle is drawn from one barrel hand-selected by the Master Distiller.
The nose is butterscotch, vanilla, toasted oak and nutmeg. The palate moves from sweetness to vanilla and caramel, with cherry, baked apple skin, leather and a little spice. The finish is long and warm, with sweet oak and a dry, lightly charred note.
