This is Garrison Brothers Small Batch, a Texas straight bourbon, in a 37.5cl Boot Flask bottle sized to slip into a boot. It is bottled at 47% ABV.
The bourbon is made from a sweet mash bill and matured in new American white oak barrels in the heat of the Texas climate. Hill Country rainwater is added to bring it to strength.
The nose offers Golden Delicious apple with honey, verbena, fresh-cut grass, saddle leather and cinnamon. On the palate there is orange hard candy, lemon gumdrops, pound cake and smoky baking spices. The finish is long, with smoky tobacco turning to caramel apple, walnuts and cinnamon.
