George T. Stagg 2015 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, released as part of the 2015 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at natural barrel proof, 138.2 proof or 69.1% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. Stagg is the flagship of the Antique Collection, which is released each autumn. The 2015 sits among the higher-proof years of the series, a little above the 138.1 proof of the 2014. The colour is a very deep amber. The nose brings dark chocolate, caramel, brown sugar and bold rye spice. The palate is powerful and full, with chocolate, caramel and rye spice, and the finish is very long, with dried cherry, cloves and smoke.
