This is the 2020 release of George T. Stagg, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. It is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 65.2% ABV (130.4 proof), uncut and unfiltered.
The barrels were filled in spring 2005, so the bourbon is 15 years and 4 months old. They were drawn from Warehouses L, K and Q at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort.
The nose offers caramel, vanilla, dark chocolate and molasses. The palate is big and layered, with dark fruit, toffee, tobacco, espresso and a warm oak spice that builds. The finish is very long, with dark fruit, barrel char and spice.
