George T. Stagg 2018 is a Kentucky bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, distilled at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort. It comes from barrels aged for a minimum of 15 years.
It was bottled straight from the barrel at 62.45% ABV (124.9 proof), without dilution and without chill filtration.
The nose is toffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, fudge and molasses. On the palate come dark berries, dates, tobacco, nougat, spearmint and a hint of coffee. The finish is very long and warming, with caramel, oak and dark spice.
