This is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at cask strength of 59.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
Batch 12 was put together under Master Distiller Billy Walker from whiskies matured in Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, red wine and virgin oak casks. The house honey sweetness meets fruit, chocolate and spice.
The nose offers manuka honey, dark muscovado sugar and maraschino cherries, with cinnamon, crystallised ginger and a little mocha. The palate is full and rich, with cocoa, creamy caramel and molasses, spicy touches and a note of blood orange. The finish is long, with glazed blackberries, fig syrup and dark spice.
