GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Batch 12 is a Speyside single malt bottled at natural cask strength, 58.2% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and was put together under Master Distiller Billy Walker.
The batch is built from PX sherry, Oloroso sherry, red wine and virgin oak casks, which gives a sherry-led style with dark fruit and deep oak.
The nose brings dark chocolate, raisins, figs, treacle, cinnamon and espresso. On the palate it is thick and oily, with dark berries, cocoa, toffee, sultanas and mocha. The finish is long and warming, with dark fruit, cinnamon and roasted coffee.
