A ten-year-old cask strength single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at 56.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky was matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, Rioja barriques and virgin oak casks. Master Distiller Billy Walker selected each cask himself and blended Batch 7, in the year he marks fifty years as a blender in the Scotch whisky industry.
The nose is creamy with fudge, nougat and mocha, then sultanas, raisins, orange zest and dried apricots. The palate brings figs, black pepper, cloves and nutmeg, and the finish is spicy with fennel and dark chocolate.
