GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 is a Speyside single malt drawing on a 2015 vintage. It was matured in Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, red wine and virgin oak casks, which give a sherry-forward profile with added depth.
It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.8% ABV, without added colour or chill filtration.
The nose shows mocha, crystallised ginger and cinnamon, then manuka honey, muscovado sugar, treacle and maraschino cherries. The palate brings cocoa, salted caramel and warmed honey, followed by baking spices, blood orange, molasses tart, glazed blackberries and fig syrup.
