This is a 10 year old single malt from the GlenAllachie distillery in Speyside, created by Master Distiller Billy Walker. It is Batch 13, bottled at natural cask strength in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration and with no added colour.
It matured in a mix of Spanish sherry oak, Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, virgin oak and Rioja casks.
The colour is deep mahogany. The nose shows heather honey, dark chocolate, dried fruit, mocha and orange zest. The palate brings cocoa, treacle, raisins, gingerbread and dark cherries, balanced by barley malt. The finish is long, with dark chocolate, spiced orchard fruit, citrus peel and oak.
