This is the ninth batch of Glenallachie's 10 Year Old Cask Strength, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was released in spring 2023 as a limited edition and bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.1%, without colouring or chill filtration.
The whisky was matured mostly in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, with a small addition of Rioja and virgin oak casks.
The official notes describe a nose of ripe red berries, hazelnuts and heather honey. On the palate come dark chocolate, honeycomb and caramelised demerara sugar, and the finish brings plum and toffee.
