GlenAllachie – 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 9 (70cl, 58.1%)

This is Batch 9 of the GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength, an official bottling from the Speyside distillery under Billy Walker. It was bottled in 2023 at a natural cask strength of 58.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is not coloured or chill-filtered. The batch marries whiskies of at least ten years from Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, Rioja casks and virgin oak. The nose brings ripe red berries, hazelnuts, heather honey, fruit, cinnamon and ginger. On the palate come dark chocolate, honeycomb, caramelised sugar, syrup, mocha and ginger. The finish is long and robust, with plum, toffee, spice and oak.
