GlenAllachie – 10 Year Old Grattamacco Wine Cask Finish (70cl, 48%)

This is a ten year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, part of its wood finish range. After ten years of maturation it was finished in selected Grattamacco wine casks and bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The wine finish adds red fruit, spice, and dry oak and tannin notes to the fruity, malty character of the distillery. The nose brings red berries, ripe fruit, honey, vanilla and spice. On the palate it is fruity and spicy, with darker berries, caramel, oak and fine tannins. The finish is medium to long, spicy and dry, with fruit and oak.
