This is a Glenallachie 10 Year Old finished in port casks. The whisky spent more than eight years in ex-American oak barrels, then about two years in vintage ruby port pipes.
The nose offers heather honey and sweet spices, with rosehip and dark chocolate. On the palate heather honey returns, joined by butterscotch and molasses, with damson, rosehip and dark chocolate alongside.
