GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 is the thirteenth release in the distillery's cask strength series. The ten-year-old single malt was shaped by Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry, red wine and virgin oak casks. It is bottled at 59.8% ABV, in natural colour and without chill-filtration, and its colour is described as burnished mahogany.
The nose opens with mocha, candied ginger and cinnamon, then Manuka honey, muscovado sugar, treacle and maraschino cherries. The palate brings cocoa, salted caramel and warm honey, followed by baking spices, blood orange and molasses tart. The finish is glazed blackberry and fig syrup with spice and cocoa.
