The fourth batch of Glenallachie's 10-year-old cask strength single malt, from the Speyside distillery.
It is a full-bodied whisky built around dried fruit, warming spice and chocolate.
The nose opens with a spicy kick of cinnamon and ginger, followed by mild plum and hot chocolate. On the palate there is more dried fruit, now jammy sultanas and tart redcurrants, with a pinch of nutmeg. The finish brings old oak, toasted teacakes and another hint of chocolate.
