This is a 10 year old Glenallachie bottled at cask strength, 59.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is Batch II, with Master Distiller Billy Walker choosing a mix of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, red wine and virgin oak casks.
The nose is lively. The palate opens strongly with dark chocolate and a little honey, then molasses, plums, hazelnuts, ginger and red berries.
