This is an 11 year old Speyside single malt from Glenallachie, a limited edition bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
After primary maturation in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, the spirit spent over 20 months in a variety of wine barriques. Master Blender Billy Walker combined the whiskies after monitoring each barrique's development.
The nose is orange blossom, espresso, maraschino cherries and honeysuckle. The palate brings dark chocolate, redcurrants and burnt coffee beans, with ginger and liquorice on the finish.
