This is an 11 year old single malt from GlenAllachie in Speyside, finished in Marsala wood.
The whisky spent eight years in American ex-bourbon barrels, then a further 42 months in Italian Marsala casks.
The nose offers heather honey and vanilla, with touches of liquorice and roasted nuts. On the palate come apricot and toffee, alongside honeycomb and crème brûlée. The finish is long and velvety, ending on soft caramel.
