This is an 11 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at 48% ABV. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky spent about eight years in ex-bourbon barrels of American oak, followed by around 42 months in Marsala casks that previously held the Sicilian sweet wine. The distillery is led by master distiller Billy Walker.
The nose brings heather honey, vanilla and stewed fruit, with touches of liquorice and roasted nuts. The palate is velvety, with apricot, toffee and honeycomb. The finish has caramelised sugar, walnut and crème brûlée.
