This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, matured first in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in Moscatel wine barriques. Moscatel is a sweet, floral Portuguese wine.
It is bottled at 48% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration. It belongs to the GlenAllachie Wood Finish series.
The nose brings apricot, peach syrup, heather honey and vanilla, with orange blossom, sultanas and warm oak. The palate is rich and silky, with honey, ripe peaches, toffee and cinnamon. The finish is medium to long, with fruit nectar, honey and sweet spice.
