GlenAllachie – 14 Year Old 2010/2025 Bourbon Barrel #2471 (70cl, 56.3%)

This is a single cask GlenAllachie from Speyside, matured for all of its 14 years in an American oak bourbon barrel with no sherry finish. Billy Walker chose the cask for a bottling for the German market. The whisky was distilled on 8 November 2010 and bottled in June 2025 at 56.3%, filling 166 bottles of 70cl. It has natural colour and has not been chill-filtered. The nose is led by vanilla and butterscotch, with peppery oak, orchard fruit, white mocha and dried banana. On the palate come buttercream, vanilla, ginger biscuit and roasted honeycomb, with muscovado sugar and light syrup. The medium to long finish holds candy floss and brandy-soaked orchard fruit.
