GlenAllachie 15 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

This is a 15 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It has been part of the distillery's core range since 2019 and is bottled without chill filtration or added colour. Its mahogany shade is natural. Billy Walker chose Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and hogsheads to add to the distillery's sweetness and chocolate notes and to balance cask with spirit character. Cinnamon, vanilla toffee and dark chocolate sit alongside fruity, honeyed tones. The nose brings dark cherries, golden syrup and sweet spice, with toffee, glazed figs and hazelnuts. The palate has heather honey, orange peel, cocoa and ginger. The finish combines spicy ginger, caramelised brown sugar and dark chocolate.
