GlenAllachie 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured in a combination of PX and Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtering or added colour, and its reddish-brown colour is natural.
The nose is warm, with cream caramel and Christmas spice around a deep sweetness of raisin. On the palate, sherry sweetness mixes with Christmas spice, ripe banana and fresh orange peel, and a little dark, lightly bitter chocolate comes through at the end. The finish fades gently, leaving a lingering spiced sweetness in which dark chocolate and sherry last longest.
