This is an 18 year old Speyside single malt from the GlenAllachie distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which give it a deep mahogany colour. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and without added colouring.
The nose combines dark chocolate, raisins and honey with roasted almonds, orange peel and gentle spice. On the palate come ripe plums, cherries and toffee, with cocoa, nutmeg and candied orange. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, dried fruit and spicy oak.
