This is an 18 year old single malt from Glenallachie, a Speyside distillery built in 1967 by Mackinlays. It is a release from the Billy Walker era of the distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The whisky spent its 18 years maturing in sherry casks.
The nose is described as salted butter and crumpets with a sweetened compote. On the palate come barley and sultanas, along with honey on toast. The finish is very nutty, with a dry note.
