This is a 25-year-old single cask single malt from GlenAllachie in Speyside, bottled by Cadenhead's at natural cask strength, 52% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled in 1992 and matured in a bourbon hogshead.
It is one of 240 bottles released in 2017 for the Japanese market.
The nose is very sweet, with rich toffee, popcorn and salted caramel. The palate shows hints of hickory smoke and jerky, with aniseed behind. The finish is malty, followed by liquorice and burnt sugar.
