This is a 21 year old GlenAllachie from the Symington's Choice series, bottled by Signatory at 63.1%. It was distilled on 5 April 2005 and bottled on 17 April 2026, and comes from a single first fill Oloroso sherry butt, cask 900273, which yielded 607 bottles.
The nose is rich with raisins, dates, dried figs and dark cherries, alongside dark chocolate, espresso, walnuts, orange peel, cinnamon and clove. On the palate come stewed plums, candied orange, cocoa, mocha and toffee, with nuts, strong spices and an oily texture. The finish is very long, with dark chocolate, espresso, walnut and dried fruit, Oloroso warmth and a lightly tannic close.
