This Glenallachie was distilled in 2006 and matured for 15 years in a barrique that previously held Rioja wine. It is a single cask release, bottled at a cask strength of 60.5% ABV, with 301 bottles produced.
The nose offers stewed plums, raspberries, coconut, treacle and nutmeg. On the palate there are layers of heather honey, treacle and ginger, along with red berries, apricots and almonds.
