Glenallachie – 2007-2022 15 Year Old Single Cask (70cl, 58%)

A single cask Glenallachie from Speyside, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2022 at 15 years old. It is the seventh release in the distillery's Single Casks series, bottled at a cask strength of 58% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration. The whisky matured in an Oloroso sherry puncheon that yielded 720 bottles. Its colour is an intense walnut. The nose offers dried banana chips, caramelised muscovado sugar and honeycomb, with root ginger, toffee and butterscotch. On the palate come hazelnuts, mocha and red berries, followed by heather honey, orchard fruits and cinnamon spice.
