This is a 12 year old Glenallachie from the Benchmark series by Murray McDavid. Only 771 bottles were filled.
It spent 11 years in a 600 litre sherry butt, then a final year in two first fill Cognac casks. The nose is buttery and creamy, with orange and milk chocolate. On the palate there is creamy malt, fruity toffee and gentle oak spice. The elegant finish brings more fruit and soft vanilla.
