This GlenAllachie is a 14-year-old single malt matured in a single sherry cask. It was distilled in August 2008 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in July 2023 for its Dimensions Collection, giving 628 bottles at 54.1%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is intense, fruity and sweet, with ripe cherries, blackberries and plums, dark caramel, juicy dates and dark chocolate, plus oak spice, cinnamon and roasted coffee. The palate recalls freshly baked raisin buns with plenty of icing and cinnamon, alongside apple sauce with raisins and toasted almonds, chocolate dates and aniseed biscuits. Strong sherry notes carry through a long finish.
