GlenAllachie – 2012 14 Year Old Sauternes Wine Hogshead Single Cask (59.8%)

This is a 14 year old single cask Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie. It was distilled in 2012 and matured in a Sauternes wine hogshead, then bottled in September 2026 at a natural cask strength of 59.8% ABV. The cask yielded 314 bottles. The French dessert wine cask brings fruit to the distillery's honeyed character, as an alternative to its usual sherry-matured style. The nose offers ripe apricots, honeycomb, green apples and white grapes, with golden syrup and delicate baking spices. On the palate come baked apples, cinnamon and heather honey, then mocha, glazed cherries, poached pears and caramel. The finish is rich, warming and balanced.
