This is a GlenAllachie single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022 at 9 years old and 48% ABV. It matured in American oak barrels and was finished in European wine barriques. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings orange blossom, espresso, maraschino cherries and honeysuckle, with candied stone fruit, hazelnuts, lavender and cinnamon. The palate offers dark chocolate, redcurrants and roasted coffee beans, then crystallised almonds, blackberries and orange zest. Ginger and liquorice linger in the finish.
