This is a single cask GlenAllachie from Speyside, part of The Master Blender's European Collection. It was distilled on 26 February 2013 and matured for twelve years in a European virgin oak hogshead, cask 4385. It was bottled in August 2025 at a cask strength of 61.7%, neither chill-filtered nor coloured, and the cask yielded 344 bottles of 70cl. Virgin oak is wood that has held no other liquid before, and here the cask brings pronounced spice and structure with nutty, woody notes. The nose shows heather honey, cocoa and cinnamon, then hazelnut, rose petal and mocha, with spiced orange, ginger and white chocolate. The palate opens with butterscotch, mocha and heather honey, then hazelnut, orange and cocoa, ending on ginger and muscovado sugar. The finish is long, warming and spicy, with ginger and dark sugar and a soft echo of orange.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
