This is a GlenAllachie single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2021 by Wilson & Morgan. It was matured entirely in first-fill sherry casks and bottled at 46%, in an outturn of 1,880 bottles.
The Oloroso influence is unmistakable. It is described as a dry, full-bodied and forceful sherry cask expression, bottled at a modest strength to keep it in check.
The nose and palate bring intense sherry cask notes alongside nuts and raisins, with figs, dates and a hint of balsamic vinegar.
