A 21 year old cask strength single malt from GlenAllachie, Batch 6, bottled at 52.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Master Distiller Billy Walker matured it in sherry puncheons and hogsheads, using Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso casks sourced from Spain.
The nose brings ripe dark cherries, brandied honeycomb, spiced orange, treacle and blackberry tart. On the palate there are dark chocolate, dried red berries and maraschino cherries, then heather honey and crystallised ginger. Plum brandy and mocha run through the finish.
