GlenAllachie 21 Years Old Batch 5 is a Speyside single malt released in 2023 under Master Distiller Billy Walker. It was made from just three Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheons, which gave a very dark colour, deep sweetness and rich fruit.
It is bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered and without added colour, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers dark chocolate, sweet raisins, syrup, figs, muscovado sugar and a little liquorice. The palate is rich and full, with espresso, dark berries, mocha, spicy oak, cloves and toffee. The long finish is spicy and fruity, with a hint of tobacco and dried fruit.
