This is a 30 year old Glenallachie from Speyside, bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle as Batch 1.
The batch was put together from nine casks filled in 1989 and 1990, all of which had previously held PX and Oloroso sherry. The distillery holds more than 50,000 casks, and these nine were chosen from among them.
The sherry influence shows in notes of mocha, dark chocolate and ripe figs.
