Glenallachie 30 Years Old Batch 3 is a Speyside single malt created by master blender Billy Walker and matured for thirty years. The 2023 edition is made from just five casks: Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons together with a virgin oak cask. 2,400 bottles were filled at cask strength, without chill-filtration or colouring.
The nose brings dried fruit, honey, caramel, hazelnuts, leather, orange peel and a little smoked wood. The palate is silky and full, with chocolate, toffee, figs, tobacco, cinnamon, toasted almonds and old oak. The finish is very long, with sweet spice, dried fruit and gentle toasted notes.
