GlenAllachie 35 Year Old (2024 Release) is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and at natural colour. It was made from a small group of very old casks held in the distillery's dunnage warehouses, hand-selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker.
The casks held Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry, and the whisky matured for more than three and a half decades beneath Ben Rinnes.
The nose is dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans and treacle, with dried figs, raisins and polished oak. The palate has sherry-soaked fruit, cocoa, molasses and sweet spice, with orange peel and toasted almonds. The finish is long, with dark berries, bitter chocolate and soft spice.
