Glenallachie – 4 Year Old Future Edition

A four-year-old peated single malt from Glenallachie, made with mainland peat from St. Fergus at 80 ppm. It is the third and final bottling in a series honouring Billy Walker's 50th anniversary, and 10,000 bottles were released worldwide. The whisky matured in rye barrels, bourbon barrels and virgin oak casks. The nose is intense, with honeycomb, dried fruit, hazelnuts, smouldering oak, dark chocolate and warm cinnamon apples. The palate brings stewed cinnamon pears, roasted almonds, heather honey and pipe tobacco, followed by smoked barley, vanilla toffee and orchard fruit.
