This is an 8 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, part of the distillery's Wood Finish series.
It was first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in quarter casks that previously held organic rye whiskey from the Koval distillery in Chicago. Quarter casks are small, usually 40 to 50 litres, so the wood has more contact with the spirit and the spiciness of the rye has a stronger influence.
It is bottled at 48% ABV, unfiltered and without added colouring.
