GlenAllachie – 8 Year Old Scottish Oak Virgin Oak Series (48%)

An 8-year-old single malt from GlenAllachie, part of Billy Walker's Virgin Oak Series and bottled at 48% ABV. The whisky is finished in virgin Scottish oak, a wood seldom used for maturing whisky. The casks are made from sessile oak from the Atlantic coast, and the wood gives the whisky a sweet character. The series uses new oak so that the wood can be tasted without the influence of sherry or wine.
