GlenAllachie 8 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky shaped by Master Distiller Billy Walker's approach to wood, using a range of cask types.
It is made from Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, together with a small quantity of virgin oak casks and red wine barriques, which give it a sunset bronze colour. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The nose offers heather honey, butterscotch and cinnamon, followed by ginger, toasted almonds and mocha. The palate brings treacle, dried sultanas and butterscotch, with cinnamon, peppermint and honeycomb.
